Differentiating Invisalign with Braces

If a patient found discomfort in wearing dental and wired braces, there is another option to correct the misalignment of teeth. There had been confusion between wearing brace and invisalign. Invisalign is straightening the patient’s teeth with the absence of wired brackets.

These are customized aligners made of smooth and colourless plastic for convenience. This fit those who didn’t want their brackets to be noticeable while correcting the teeth.

Unlike braces, invisalign has no wire to tighten as well as the brackets that have been attached to a customer’s teeth. Meanwhile, these are replaceable ideally every two weeks until total recovery has been met.

The Pros and Cons of an Invisalign

In terms of convenience, invisalign is far easier to wear than wired brackets. Same with its appearance, it is not visible at all. It also allows the patient to eat whatever food he/she wants.  Removal of this device anytime you want is also one of the good things about it.

Not everybody is qualified in wearing invisalign. This device cannot correct extreme orthodontic issues. This is designed only for those who has minor to mild dental problems.

In order to achieve the desired outcome, a patient must follow the proper ways of removing, wearing and cleansing invisalign.
