In this procedure, the outer donut around the nipple is removed. This is a very specific procedure designed to lift small saggy breasts. It has limitations that flatten the breast and stretch the areolas when tried in larger breasts. It is only suitable for the nipple and areola which have to be lifted only by 5 cm.

Benelli lift is considered as less invasive procedure than full mastopexy but not recommended for patients wanting for extreme enhancement.

The procedure has minimal downtime and usually takes 1 to 3 hours. On average, patient can return to wirk after a week and can do strenuous activities after a month. Patients may experience temporary bruising, discomfort, swelling or breast discoloration after the procedure.

There are also some risks that patients should know before undergoing Benelli lift. There is possiblity of slow healing, numbness and loss of tissue in nipple or areola after the operation.
