What is Abdominal Liposuction?

Abnominal Liposuction, also known as Liposculpture, is another popular cosmetic procedure to remove stubborn fats from the abdomen. This body recontouring technique is a permanent solution to unwanted belly fat for men and women.

People feel better knowing that they have slimmer look or more toned abs. As a matter of fact, having whistle bait body really builds confidence and this could be the reason why most patients who decided to undergo this procedure want to eliminate their excess fat.

This cosmetic procedure should be performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon. There is a special tool being used to make a tiny incision in the skin during abdominal liposuction. Usually, just below the bikini line, the surgeon inserts a cannula or a thin tube into the fatty area. This thin tube disintegrates the accumulated fats and carves the abdomen to the desired shape or proportion. Through a powerful vacuum, the excess fat is eliminated, making the muscles trimmed and the blood vessels, nerves and skin unharmed.

There are some factors to consider before undergoing this procedure, the amount and location of fat in the abdomen, weight gain and weight loss history, age and sex of the patient.

Normally, liposculpture takes one to two hours per area. If there are other procedures performed concurrently, it may take longer than usual.
